35m Green Marine racing ketch Sojana sold

2 December 2025 • Written by Emily Dawkins

The 35-metre Green Marine sailing yacht Sojana has been sold in a deal between Nicolas Marchand of Bernard Gallay Yacht Brokerage, who represented the seller, and Hank Halsted of Northrop & Johnson, who introduced the buyer.

Sojana was delivered in 2003 as a custom high-performance ketch, designed by pedigree racing yacht studio Farr Yacht Design with a brief to build the longest and fastest yacht capable of being handled by the owner and friends with minimal crew. In cruising mode, she runs with a core crew of five but can easily accommodate a full race crew as required.

Sojana was last asking €3,500,000

Sojana completed a full cosmetic and technical refit in 2016, with more major upgrades made in 2022 and 2023, including the installation of a new engine and the servicing of all generators. She is also now host to a new North Sails 3Di sail wardrobe, Hall Spars carbon rigging and a B&G H5000 electronics suite.

Designed to dominate the leaderboard on the racecourse, Sojana boasts a proven performance pedigree at regattas such as the St. Barths Bucket, Antigua Sailing Week and Palma Superyacht Cup. Under the previous ownership of the late Sir Peter Harrison, she built an impressive résumé of sailing victories.

Her interior, by Ken Freivokh, reflects an age of traditional yachting with dark mahogany wood panelling and gold-plated fittings. Accommodation is for eight guests in four cabins consisting of two doubles and a twin, the master being located forward, as well as a small "kids' cabin".

The "warm and understated" main saloon features built-in seating and comfortable sofas in addition to a light-filled dining area. Her brokers pointed out that Sojana's onboard amenities include air-conditioning, Apple TV, SONOS sound system and a sparkling water machine.

According to BOATPro, she has been on the market since October 2023

The 124GT sailing yacht has a beam of 7.7 metres and a draught of 4.5 metres. Her cruising speed under power is 10 knots, while under sail she is "several knots faster".

Sojana was last asking €3,500,000.
