The news that the 32m sailing yacht Gliss is returning to defend her title as winner of last year's Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta provokes an immediate response from Toby Maclaurin at Ocean Independence, who writes in to remind me that she's currently for sale with Peter Hurzeler and Phillip Pollack.

Gliss was delivered by Holland's Royal Huisman yard in 2006. Built in aluminium, this superyacht is Lloyds classed and her Pieter Beeldsnijder interior accommodates up to eight guests in a master, double, twin and single cabin with a Pullman berth. With a cruising speed of 10.5 knots, she has a range of 2,000 nautical miles and her racing pedigree has been well proven by winning both the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta and the Horus Superyacht Cup in 2009. Gliss is currently asking €11.8 million.
