Superyacht My Iris sold by Merle Wood

13 May 2010 • Written by Malcolm MacLean

I heard on the grapevine last week that the 45.27m motor yacht My Iris was under survey for a buyer and bombarded her central agent, John Cohen at Merle Wood & Associates, for more information without success. Now I understand his reticence as he tells me that he closed her sale this morning to a direct client.

My Iris was built by Trinity Yachts in 2003 to ABS class and has a warm, rich 'country house'  interior by celebrated designer Claudette Bonville. MCA compliant, this superyacht accommodates 10 guests in a master, three doubles and one twin cabin.

Twin 2250hp Caterpillar engines power her to a cruising speed of 18 knots and a range of 2,925 nautical miles at 15 knots and  My Iris was asking $19.995 million.
