More realism dawns on the market as Caroline Walters at Burgess gives me the go-ahead to broadcast an €8 million reduction in price of the 49.9m motor yacht Platinum.

Built by Benetti in 2009 to ABS class, Platinum is a proven world cruiser with a strong charter reputation. She has generous and varied deck spaces, rich interior styling and flexible accommodation throughout. Key features include accommodation for 14 guests in 6 well-appointed staterooms including a master suite, VIP and two doubles along with two twin cabins, each with a Pullman berth.

There’s also a vast sundeck complete with Jacuzzi, sun pads and sun lounging areas and she has a full range of tenders, toys and sports equipment. Twin 2250hp MTU engines give this superyacht a cruising speed of 15.5 knots and she's fitted with those all-important zero-speed stabilisers. Previously listed at €35 million, Platinum is now asking €27 million.
