The 40-metre Westport motor yacht Rule No.1 has received a $1,000,000 price reduction to her listing with Kent Harrington of Edmiston.

Delivered in 2011, she is an ABS-class semi-displacement motor yacht. Her naval architecture was developed by William Garden, while her design comes from Gregory C. Marshall. Built in GRP, she completed a multi-million-dollar refit in 2024, restoring her to a pristine condition.

Rule No.1 is now asking $16,500,000

During her recent refit, Rule No.1 received a brand-new interior, penned by Destry Darr. Her broker notes that she offers a "stunning blend of yachting tradition" and a "tranquil atmosphere," evidenced throughout the yacht by the warm wooden tones and plush modern furnishings and finishes.

The main saloon is spacious with a generous port and starboard facing lounge and a formal dining table aft. White sofas accompany stone-hewn coffee tables, highlighted by the natural light that filters in. Up a level, the skylounge features bookshelf walls, a casual lounge, electric fireplace and a sit-up bar.

Accommodation on board is for up to 12 guests across five cabins, including a master suite situated forward on the main deck with a study and quartz-clad en suite with a double vanity and generous shower. Two double cabins and two twins, each with a Pullman berth, feature on the lower deck, all equipped with en suite facilities.

Further provisions are made for a crew of seven.

Expansive decks and sunbathing spots define the yacht's exterior spaces. A hexagonal lounge and sit-up bar feature on the main deck aft, while the upper deck, shaded by an overhang, provides a relaxing al fresco dining option. Her social heart, however, lies on the sundeck.

Here, the owners can enjoy an L-shaped lounge, an al fresco dining table with retractable awnings, a second bar and forward facing hot tub with sunpads. Forward of the wheelhouse, guests can keep up with their fitness routine thanks to the open-air gym.

Power comes from twin MTU diesel engines, giving her a top speed of 22 knots, while the yacht for sale boasts a range of 2,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. Her shallow draft opens her up to coastal cruising and Naiad stabilisers ensure smooth journeys on board.

Lying in Fort Lauderdale, Rule No.1 is now asking $16,500,000.
