Brokerage market round-up: February 26-March 2, 2018

SALES

As freezing weather battered Europe, the superyacht brokerage world kept up its strong start to the year with 11 superyacht sales announced this week. The total asking price was in excess of £35 million ($47 million) and the most active brokerage house was HMY Yacht Sales, with two completed deals announced this week.

PRICE REDUCTIONS

Seven price drops were announced on yachts for sale this week, for a total reduction of £6.6 million ($8.8 million) and six of these reductions were higher than £500,000 ($673,000).

St David was the subject of a major price drop announced this week

NEW LISTINGS

Five yachts were listed for sale this week with a combined asking price in excess of £41 million ($54 million). The largest new listing was the 57.91 metre Trinity motor yacht Skyfall, which is back on the market with IYC less than a month after she was last sold.
