The idea of a Lamborghini on water might once have sounded like a design exercise – but today, the Lamborghini yacht is a fully realised product line, combining extreme performance with unmistakable automotive styling. Holly Margerrison speaks to Gianmaria Costantino, chief commercial officer of The Italian Sea Group, about the evolution of Tecnomar’s "supercar of the sea"...
Developed by Tecnomar, a brand of The Italian Sea Group, in collaboration with Automobili Lamborghini, the range has evolved rapidly from the 19.2-metre Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 into a new flagship: the 30.8-metre Lamborghini 101. With top speeds of up to 63 knots and design cues drawn directly from Lamborghini’s hybrid hypercars, these yachts are designed to deliver what the builders describe as a "supercar experience at sea".
"At this level, a select circle of individuals takes shape, united by a precise vision of performance and freedom," says Costantino. "Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 was conceived as a limited and numbered object. Her value lies as much in her rarity as in her performance: a recognisable expression of speed, design and character."

A Lamborghini yacht is a high-performance motor yacht developed through a partnership between Tecnomar and Automobili Lamborghini, blending lightweight construction, aggressive styling and high horsepower outputs. The concept was first revealed in 2020, with the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 – a limited-production model that quickly gained attention for its speed, styling and brand crossover appeal.
Since then, the range has expanded significantly, signalling a longer-term strategy rather than a one-off collaboration. According to Costantino, the partnership with Automobili Lamborghini has "amplified [Tecnomar’s] international reach, making her design language instantly recognisable".
Why did the Lamborghini yacht evolve from 19 metres to 31 metres?
The original Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 set the tone. Measuring 19.2 metres, it combined a lightweight carbon fibre build with twin MAN V12 engines to reach speeds of up to 63 knots. Designed as a day boat with overnight capability, it offered a surprising level of liveability, including a master suite, guest accommodation and refined materials such as Alcantara.
But the introduction of the Lamborghini 101 marks a clear shift in ambition. Unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show 2025, the 30.8-metre model represents a significant step up in size, capability and positioning. With a four-cabin layout for up to nine guests, plus crew accommodation, it moves the concept closer to a true superyacht experience.
"The 63 and the 101 belong to the same vision, interpreting different moments and needs," explains Costantino. "The former expresses an instinctive and immediate way of experiencing the sea; the latter allows that same energy to unfold within a broader and more articulated onboard lifestyle. What connects them is character."
Costantino stops short of defining the 101 as a conventional performance superyacht. "The 101 once again breaks away from traditional categories and stands apart from the ordinary," he says. "She is undoubtedly a ‘supercar of the sea’, expressing a status that goes beyond the choice of a high-performance superyacht."

Are Lamborghini yachts fast?
Performance sits at the core of the Lamborghini yacht concept. The 63’s extreme speed is achieved through a combination of lightweight construction and high power-to-weight ratios, allowing it to “ride” on the surface at planing speeds.
The Lamborghini 101 continues this philosophy but balances it with increased size and comfort. Powered by triple MTU engines and a surface-propeller configuration, it delivers a reported 7,900hp while still reaching speeds of up to 45 knots – unusually fast for a yacht of its size.
"The balance between comfort and performance has been the leitmotif of the project from the very beginning," says Costantino. "With the 101, we have taken a significant step forward, introducing a construction in aluminium and carbon fibre that has allowed us to substantially increase volumes without compromising weight and therefore performance."
He adds that the yacht’s stepped hull and Arneson stern drives were carefully engineered to improve efficiency and manoeuvrability while also reducing noise and vibration at high speeds.

From hypercar to hull, the Lamborghini yacht range is a direct translation of automotive design language. Sharp lines, angular glazing and aggressive profiles mirror Lamborghini’s road cars, while details such as lighting clusters and hexagonal motifs carry across almost unchanged.
The Lamborghini 101 takes inspiration from the brand’s latest hybrid hypercar, incorporating similar colour palettes and sculptural forms. Inside, the connection continues with cockpit-style helm stations, carbon finishes and materials typically found in high-performance cars.
While the 63 prioritised adrenaline and day cruising, the 101 introduces a stronger focus on comfort and extended use.
The new flagship offers:
- A full-beam owner’s suite
- A VIP cabin and two guest cabins
- Social spaces designed for longer stays on board
This reflects a broader trend in the market, where buyers are increasingly seeking yachts that combine performance with practicality.
When will the new Lamborghini yacht be on the water?
The first unit in Tecnomar's Lamborghini 101 yacht range has begun outfitting at the Group's Marina di Carrara facilities.
According to Costantino, the production cycle for each unit is expected to take approximately 24 months from contract signing.
What’s next for the Lamborghini yacht range?
With multiple units of the Lamborghini 101 already under construction, the collaboration between Tecnomar and Automobili Lamborghini shows no signs of slowing. The move from a 19-metre day boat to a 30-metre-plus platform suggests a long-term vision to expand further into the superyacht market.
Still, Costantino remains guarded on what could come next. "The Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 remains the benchmark in terms of performance and design. The Tecnomar for Lamborghini 101 addresses a wider size segment," he says. "Further expansion of the range? No comment."
For The Italian Sea Group, however, the significance of the project extends beyond a simple brand collaboration.
"Tecnomar for Lamborghini represents one of the most complete expressions of a precise idea of excellence," says Costantino. "A bold and self-aware presence, expressed through design, speed and recognisability."
