Since her delivery in May 2026, the 117-metre Lürssen superyacht Boardwalk has become one of the most closely watched yachts in the Mediterranean, most recently spotted in Venice, Italy. BOAT rounds up everything to know about the new flagship – and what became of US Ambassador to Italy and San Marino Tilman Fertitta's former 76.5-metre Feadship yacht Boardwalk, now renamed Boardwalk V and asking €149,000,000 with Y.CO.

Delivered by Lürssen in May 2026, the 117-metre Boardwalk marks a significant step up from Fertitta's 76.5-metre Feadship of the same name. Commissioned in 2022, the yacht was designed inside and out with the owner closely involved throughout the process, refining everything from the layout to the smallest design details.

Exterior designer Frank Woll drew inspiration from the fluid forms of marine life, while the interiors were developed by the late Amy Halffman alongside Suzanne Glover and Teresa Francis. At 5,602GT, she ranks among the largest yachts ever built by the German yard.

Who is Tilman Fertitta?

Tilman Fertitta is a Houston-based billionaire entrepreneur and the chairman, CEO and sole owner of Landry’s, Inc., a Texas-based restaurant and entertainment company. Under Landry’s umbrella are popular dining brands such as Landry’s Seafood House, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. and Saltgrass Steak House. Beyond the hospitality industry, Fertitta also owns the NBA’s Houston Rockets, further cementing his status as a major player in both business and sports. As a passionate yachtsman, his sharp eye for design and detail reflects his personality both on and off the water. In April 2025, Fertitta was confirmed by the US Senate as the US Ambassador to Italy and San Marino – perhaps explaining his yacht's presence in Italian waters.

Following her delivery, Boardwalk headed to the Mediterranean for her first summer season and has since been spotted anchored in Italy along the canals near the Giardini della Marinaressa, Venezia. Her arrival has generated significant interest, with many linking the yacht's presence to Fertitta's role as the US Ambassador to Italy and San Marino, a position he assumed in 2025.

3. She is packed with standout features

Behind her traditionally styled profile, Boardwalk conceals an array of innovative features. The yacht offers two helipads – one fully certified – alongside a generous beach club, a large swimming pool with an adjoining Jacuzzi, a cinema, spa, gym and putting green.

One of her most notable design innovations is a retractable section of deck installed over the stairwell leading to the beach club, which can be hermetically sealed when closed. Elsewhere, approximately 3,000 exterior lights illuminate the yacht after dark, while a large tender garage houses three custom Hodgdon tenders, an amphibious tender and several off-road vehicles.

4. What happened to the original Boardwalk?

Fertitta's 76.5-metre Feadship Boardwalk joined the market in September 2025 for the first time since her 2021 delivery and was renamed Boardwalk V in February 2026, according to BOATPro. Listed for sale with Y.CO, she remains one of Feadship's most highly customised modern builds, with interiors also by Amy Halffman and a design shaped around the owner's passion for entertaining.

Highlights on the 76.5-metre yacht for sale include six sit-down bars, a six-metre mosaic-lined swimming pool, a certified helipad, a beach club complete with a Peloton bike and sauna, and accommodation for 14 guests across seven cabins.

5. Boardwalk continues a long line of custom yachts...

The name Boardwalk has accompanied Fertitta throughout his yachting journey. Before the Feadship, the billionaire owned a 50-metre Westport 164, also named Boardwalk and now known as Night Howl. Each successive yacht has reflected Fertitta's preference for highly personalised design, developed in close collaboration with his chosen designers, while increasing in both size and capability.

At 117 metres, the latest Boardwalk is the culmination of that progression and is now one of the most recognisable new superyachts on the water.
