Inside the €13.5M Feadship Constance: 5 standout features

6 March 2026 • Written by Charlie Fabre

Delivered in 1986, the 46.4-metre Feadship yacht Constance is a refined example of classic Dutch design, combining timeless style with modern engineering. Her white steel hull and teak decks reflect the golden age of yachting, while recent technical and structural refits ensure she competes confidently with contemporary new builds. LY1-compliant and due for her 10-Year Special Survey, Constance is now listed in a new central agency with Burgess, lying in Antigua.

Here, BOAT highlights five of her most notable features.

1. A Classic Feadship pedigree

Constance was built by Feadship in 1986, with De Voogt Naval Architects shaping her elegant exterior lines and maintaining an all-round Dutch design ethos. The yacht’s timeless aesthetic is complemented by interiors from US-based Glade Johnson Design, which inject subtle American flair without compromising her classic character.

2. Refitted for global cruising

In the summer of 2016, Constance underwent an 18-month refit at Pendennis Shipyard, covering full technical and structural upgrades to her engine room, bridge and boat deck systems.

"Back in 2016, when we undertook the refit of Constance, our objective was clear: to create a yacht capable of truly global cruising, underpinned by a modern, efficient power train and engineered for absolute reliability,” said Charlie Ross, group operations director at Pendennis. “I’m proud to say the project delivered exactly what we set out to achieve. Constance has spent the last 10 years with her Owners Cruising the Pacific, Alaska, as well as the Mediterranean, Caribbean and East Coast of the United States and has had the capability, range and technical platform to do this with confidence."

Despite extensive upgrades, her original interior woodwork was preserved and her exterior appearance was refreshed with new paint and teak decking. A further exterior refit followed in 2021 and her 10-Year Special Survey is scheduled for 2026.

3. Space that belies her length

Although under 50 metres, Constance measures 418GT, giving the impression of a much larger vessel. Her volume is spread across three well-proportioned decks, optimising both indoor and outdoor living. The upper deck accommodates a tender alongside an al fresco dining area, while the sundeck features a hexagonal hot tub and dedicated sunbathing space.

4. Not six, not eight, but 12 guests on board

Smart use was made of her 418GT, not only exemplified by her communal and exterior spaces, but also by her ability to accommodate 12 guests on board.

Constance is a true social and family yacht and includes five warm and inviting cabins. The master suite, located on the main deck, is especially large with a double bed, entertainment system, sofa, desk, ample storage and en suite facilities. Four more cabins are situated on the lower deck, including a VIP suite, two doubles and a twin. Additional Pullman berths complete her impressive hosting arrangements.

5. Competitive in today's market

With multiple modern refits, Constance offers a classic Feadship experience at a competitive price. At €13,500,000, she provides an opportunity to acquire a historically significant yacht with contemporary reliability, standing alongside other market examples such as 46.9-metre A2, 57.3-metre Amara, 53-metre Mirage and 42.3-metre Synthesis 66.
