The Monaco Yacht Show represents the pinacle of luxury lifestyle and provides the ultimate showcase for industry influencers from the most reputable superyacht builders, award-winning yacht designers, luxury suppliers, and influential brokerage houses, to the most sought-after water toys, prestige cars, helicopter and private jet manufacturers.

Here's everything you need to know about the Monaco Yacht Show 2019 including tickets, new superyachts, exhibitors and parties...

When does Monaco Yacht Show 2019 start?

The Monaco Yacht Show 2019 will be starting on September 25 and be finishing on September 28 2019 in Port Hercules.

Mirroring the 2018 event, the Monaco Yacht Show 2019 will begin on a Wednesday, and last for four days with festivities winding down on the Saturday. The event will showcase an incredible fleet of superyachts, as well as toys, tenders and luxury goods.

As ever, it will attract prospective buyers and key players in the industry – and for 2019, the Monaco Yacht Show has changed its opening hours, welcoming attendees from 11am to 7.30pm (Saturday September 28, 11am to 7pm).

The goal is to offer a timetable that corresponds better to the visiting times preferred by private clients. The new schedule will also ease the relentless intensity of the show and create a more pleasant experience for visitors and exhibitors alike, while leaving more time earlier in the morning for B2B meetings, press conferences and media yacht visits.

Each year, the Monaco Yacht Show curates the exhibition of 125+ extraordinary one-off superyachts built by the world’s most respected shipyards and welcomes leaders from the yachting industry.

New superyachts at the Monaco Yacht Show 2019 and yachts for sale

The Monaco Yacht Show attracts over 125 superyachts with an average length closer to 50 metres, of which around 42 are new launches making their worldwide debut.

The average value of the yachts on display at the Monaco Yacht Show is now a staggering €27 million. This is a far cry from the very first edition of MYS in 1991, when there were just 32 yachts moored in Port Hercules averaging 31 metres in length.

The Monaco Yacht Show 2019 offering will feature larger superyachts compared with 2018. The largest luxury vessel will be 107 metres in length. 21 units will exceed 60 metres with an average size of 75m.

Italian yard Wider has revealed two new superyacht projects at the Monaco Yacht Show. The 54 metre Wider 180 is already underway, with the cutting of the hull planned for the beginning of 2020. Delivery is scheduled for 2022. Exterior design comes from Andrea Vallicelli & C Yacht Design and features “clean and essential lines”.

Benetti reveals hybrid expedition superyacht range

Italian yard Benetti has revealed a range of hybrid expedition yachts at the Monaco Yacht Show. The first of the three model range, the B.YOND 37, is a 37 metre “serious expedition yacht built to travel the world,” according to the yard.

Fincantieri reveals naval inspired 80.8m superyacht concept Vis

Fincantieri Yachts has unveiled a new naval inspired 80.8 metre superyacht concept named Vis. Designed in collaboration with Italian superyacht designer Francesco Paszkowski, the 80.8 metre yacht is named after the Latin word meaning “force” and “energy”.

Luca Vallebona reveals 62.5m superyacht concept TLV 62

Italian designer Luca Vallebona has revealed a 62.5 metre superyacht concept created with Sinos managing director Giancarlo Mussino. Named TLV 62, the concept features a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with “low on the water” exterior lines and an “almost vertical bow.”

Wally reveals Espen Øino-designed 165 Wallypower

Superyacht designer Espen Øino has teamed up with Wally founder Luca Bassani to develop a 50 metre motor yacht. The 165 Wallypower takes inspiration from the radical look of the 118 Wallypower, resulting in a Mediterranean cruiser with a piercing bow, uncluttered lines and open decks.

Heesen reveals First 5700 Aluminium Class superyacht Project Akira

Heesen has revealed the first model in its new 5700 Aluminium class named Project Akira. The 56.7 metre four deck yacht features exterior design penned by Frank Laupman’s Omega Architects and interior design by Harrison Eidsgaard.

Luca Dini Design & Architecture introduces four new projects

Thanks to collaborations with Columbus Yachts, Mondomarine and Rossinavi shipyards. Two 50 metre yachts are already under construction and will be launched over the next year.

Columbus Sport - 43m, 50m and 67m

A 50 metre superyacht from Columbus's new sports line, designed by the studio, is set to launch next summer. The external lines are streamlined, sporty, and well defined, giving life to a decisive style with sculpted forms in perfect harmony with the open, comfortable and liveable spaces, reflecting the owner’s personality. This project was developed with the intention of maintaining the volume at or under 500 GT.

Mondomarine Discovery - 40m, 50m, 57m and 75m

The Discovery series takes inspiration from the lines of explorer yacht Tribù, curated by the studio and launched by Mondomarine in 2007 for an owner who sought an innovative design concept.

Mondomarine Classic - 43m, 50m and 63m

The new Classic line brings forth a renewed style for the historic Mondomarine Shipyard. "As a starting point and reference, we used the 60 metre Sarastar – launched in 2016. The result was a creative revisiting of this yacht, which translates into a Modern Classic."

Rossinavi FR038 50m

The bigger sister of FR038, this new project guarantees more space and a glazed lounge / cinema area on the sun deck, offering guests relax and absolute fun at the same time. Moreover, the stern terrace of the main deck is even more attractive thanks to a swimming pool between the aft deck and the terrace itself.

The Flagship 64Steel by Sanlorenzo debuts at Monaco Yacht Show

Consisting of five decks and measuring in at 64 metre in length, Flagship 64Steel by Sanlorenzo is the biggest yacht to ever be produced by the Italian ship yard. Her exteriors are designed by Officina Italiana Design and interiors by Francesco Paszkowski. Four guest rooms and the full beam VIP suite are located on the Main Deck.

Standout highlights on board the motor yacht include the 78 square meter Beach Club on the Lower Deck. On board there is a double stairway that connects the pool and dining area to the Beach Club equipped with a sauna, hammam, massage room, and gym, right at the waterline. This Sanlorenzo is ideal for entertaining, boasting an enormous barbecue and dining area on the main deck and climate controlled “wine cellar” with a capacity of up to 500 bottles below. She is powered by two Caterpillar engines and can reach a top speed of 17 knots.

Perini Navi presents new Falcon Rig Gallery at the Monaco Yacht Show

With seven yachts in build and an order book worth 160 million euro, the yard is consolidating its technological and stylistic leadership as it focuses on an innovation-centred future. The new Falcon Rig Gallery is an entire product range spanning 56m to 92m models and inspired by the iconic Maltese Falcon, the 88m clipper with which Perini Navi revolutionised the sailing world in 2006.

The 92 metre of the Falcon Rig Gallery, for which a letter of intent has been signed, has carbon-fibre masts, a 2,400 sqm sail area and an innovative arrangement concept dominated by a master suite which takes up the entire upper deck. Extensive use has also been made of glass, including for the main staircase which links all four decks, yielding exceptionally bright interiors.

Perini Navi Tailor Made

Perini Navi also presented “Tailor Made”, a whole new direction for the yard. Long famed for the reliability of its yachts and its meticulous attention to detail, Perini Navi will now be making its construction expertise available to sailing and motor projects by outside designers.

The yard recently signed a letter of intent for the first such project, a 74m motoryacht penned by Argentinean naval architect and designer Horacio Bozzo (pictured above). The M/Y 74m Vanguard is the product of her owner’s passion for Perini Navi styling cues which Bozzo has skilfully reinterpreted and transferred to the lines and details of this motoryacht.

Perini Navi/Ora Ito

To reflect the creative, innovative spirit with which it revolutionised the sailing world, Perini Navi also presented the Perini Navi/Ora Ito capsule collection developed in partnership with the internationally acclaimed French designer.

The eclectic, multidisciplinary Ora Ito has transformed his vision of the Perini Navi world into a capsule collection that is a reinterpretation of the iconic 56m flagship of the yard’s fleet, producing two special designs in the process. The result is a contemporary, unfiltered reimagining by an outsider to the nautical world. A genuinely fascinating project. Ora Ito, in fact, has a passion for analysing the icons of our time and then creating radical new takes on them, something he has done for other historic brands from fashion to technology.

n the course of the press conference, it was also announced that the eighth edition of the Perini Navi Cup, a fleet regatta organised in partnership with the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, will take place at Porto Cervo, Sardinia, between August 26 and 29 2020.

ISA presents new CONTINENTAL models in 80 and 65 meters

At the Monaco Yacht Show 2019, ISA announced that they would be producing a new line of yachts designed in colloaboration with Enrico Gobbi of TEAM for Design. The first two motor yachts of the new CONTINENTAL range to be produced are the 65 and 80 metre models. Both yachts are characterised by a slender outline and living spaces with large panoramic windows.

ISA CONTINENTAL 65

The smaller of the two models, the CONTINENTAL 65 features a specious rectangular pool complemented with a waterfall wall to seperate he pool from the remaining deck arranged as a living area. The beach club below contains a sauna and massage room, in addition to the living area and the bar. The deliberately raised panoramic Jacuzzi on the Fly Deck ensures a splendid view and is sufficiently large to accommodate enough guests. Interiors are decorated in a modern style finished in steel, glass and marble. Six cabins can accommodate up to 12 passengers assisted by 16 crew members housed in 9 cabins. The yacht is equipped with two MTU 12V4000M63 engines reaching a maximum speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots with a range of 5500 nautical miles at 11 knots.

ISA CONTINENTAL 80

The 80 metre model sports a similar design but boasts a number of additional amenities. Standout features include the gym and panoramic jacuzzi in the Sky lounge, the aft infinity pool and a touch-&-go helipad. The beach club platform on the Lower Deck is fitted with a large bar and a mega wall-mounted TV screen. The exterior design is completed by two imposing stylised chimneys - which in addition to their primary function also serve to balance the proportions of the yacht. Provided with seven cabins to accommodate up to 12 passengers assisted by 19 crew members housed in 10 cabins, the yacht is equipped with two MTU 16V4000M63L engines reaching a maximum speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots with a range of 6200 nautical miles.

360 Maritime Security runs Cyber Testing at Monaco Yacht Show 2019

360 Security Cyber team, whilst manning the stands and advising clients, have also been running some basic passive tests to gain a high-level view of the quality of security controls implemented on the various yachts and the show itself.

The tests were split into 2 sections:

  1. Review of the WiFi and visible security systems protecting owners, crew, guest and automation, designed to highlight whether there are any obvious flaws that would allow unauthorised access

2 A fake, devotion system was deployed to the show WiFi with enhanced monitoring of security activity, this was designed to highlight if anyone else is running any security reconnaissance and attempting to hack systems at the show.

The summary findings for these tests will be presented at the Infosec Partners stand QR12 on Friday at 16.00 and Saturday at 14.00.

Videoworks reveals new series of on board high-tech solutions for superyachts at Monaco Yacht Show

Tech Company Videworks has presented a new range of on board technologies, displayed by some of the largest yachts on show in Monaco this week. The new innovations include the Slim Audio Master, a mover wall with integrated speakers and the Party Pack, which features small and elegantly designed K-array speakers and subwoofers. These sound systems can deliver an excellent performance as their output is up to 110 dB. The sound will be enhanced by a RGB lighting system in the ceiling that will be synchronised with the sound. The Party Pack is completed by a new generationm Samsung QLED 98" 8k TV screen.

This has been introduced alongside a new circadian rhythm lighting system, which provides a perfect reproduction of the temperature and tone of sunlight inside the yacht at every time of the day, from dawn to dusk. This solution increases the well-being of guests on board in a natural way. Visitors will be able to experience the change in sunlight in a few minutes thanks to a special LED-lighting panel made up of 50x50 tiles. These products have been displayed on a number of yachts including:

COLUMBUS M/Y DRAGON

On the 80-metre yacht by Columbus Yachts (part of the Palumbo Superyachts group), Videoworks has designed the AV, SAT and home automation system. There is a local rack with the AV electronics in every hall. The integrated AV system is managed by a Crestron CPU. The Videoworks interface for iPad makes it as simple as possible for the Owner to use. Cinema lovers will be able to make full use of the VOD Kaleidescape system for the storage and reproduction of UHD contents.

RIVA M/Y RACE

The 50-metre yacht that inaugurated the SuperYachtsDivision of Riva Yachts holds super-concentrated technology: Videoworks has designed the AV, IT, TV/Sat, CCTV, IP telephony and home automation system. Together with tech company LUTRON, Videoworks has also designed and built the on-board home automation system on board Race, including the intelligent control of lights and blinds in the guest area, which makes time on board even more comfortable and pleasant.

EXTRA 130 ALLOY

Videoworks has equipped the 39.7-metre Extra 130 Alloy with everything that makes the experience on board one of a kind. The Videoworks integration allows users to select the content directly from the Audio/Video iTunes library and then play it on the Apple TV in each cabin. All the Audio/Video contents in iTunes can be managed via Apple TV and no synchronization is required. When the content is recorded, it quickly starts via the Apple iPad mini provided by Videoworks and that is based on the control system of Creston products.
