Nautor Swan unveils new addition to Alloy line with 50m model and teases 60m ketch
Closing day three of the show, Finnish shipyard Nautor Swan welcomed the press to the Yacht Club de Monaco to share more about its in-build flagship and first from its Alloy series, the Swan Alloy 44, as well as unveil the next model in the all-aluminium line.
Executive chairman of Sanlorenzo and owner of the new 44-metre build, Massimo Perotti, said his move from motor to sailing yachts was decided not only by the yacht's design and the vision for Nautor Swan, but also by the desire to slow down and embrace a new way of life. "Real value of life isn't money or things like that, but time," he explained, though he later shared that the new build will also be used for racing.

The yard revealed new exterior and interior renderings of the project earlier this week, showcasing its slender Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design exterior and elegant, pared-back interiors by Parisian designer Studio Liaigre. Construction is currently underway at the Gouwerok Shipyard in the Netherlands, after which the yacht will be transferred to Viareggio, Italy, for final outfitting and delivery, scheduled for 2028.
"Loyal to change" was the slogan shared by the yard about the aluminium line. Perotti explained that the brand is "looking to change but without forgetting that a Swan is a Swan". According to the team, the Alloy line has been developed in response to customer demand and evokes a new era for the yard for yachts that are built for not only racing and high performance, but cruising in comfort and in a sustainable way.

For the Alloy 44, the yacht's design is said to incorporate motor yacht comfort while preserving the sporty lines of a sailing build. In Matt McKeon's words: "We wanted to create something contemporary while ensuring the Swan DNA." Inside, Guillaume Rolland, principal and head of yacht design at Liaigre, noted that the design features details from the 1980s - as a homage to the first decade of Swan interiors.
Moving on to the rest of the line, new CEO of Nautor Swan and Bluegame, Gianguido Girotti, unveiled the new 50-metre Alloy 50, also designed by Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design with Axel de Beaufort chosen for the interiors.

Key features of the 50-metre build include a spacious flybridge, fold-down bulwarks and a stern beach club gym area connected to a handy swim platform - all created as "distinct zones for relaxation and privacy". Interiors showcase a sophisticated Art Deco approach, with warm woods and a palette of cream tones and navy blue.
Perotti announced that the first hull of the Alloy 50 was ordered just one week ago, with delivery expected in 2029.
The yard also teased a new 60-metre Alloy 60 model, a ketch sailing build, though more details will be unveiled this time next year.
