Rupert Marine, the Swedish yard which is building its first superyacht, has recently delivered a 15.5m RIB called Indi Jones, which will be tender to Indio, the 30m Wally sailing yacht.
Indi Jones is based on the Rupert 50 Wheel House RIB, but has been specially customised for her owner. Not only does her colour scheme and finish match that of Indio, but she has also been designed to assist her mother ship with an aft deck fuel transfer station containing a 2,000 litre fuel tank. This area can also be converted into a lounge with a solarium.
Inside, the tender is fully equipped with a navigation system, air-conditioning, watermaker and icemaker amongst other things. The interior can sleep up to six people thanks to convertible areas, and has a shower compartment and head.
The tender is powered by twin 800hp MAN engines coupled to Rolls Royce/KaMeWa waterjet. Top speeds are between 45 and 49 knots, and it has a new ROCCS steering system to make manoeuvring easier.
Indi Jones is being shipped to Newport, Rhode Island, to assist her mother ship at the Newport Bucket regatta in late August.
