Alia Yachts launches 53m full custom "beast" with waterpark

1 July 2024 • Written by Dea Jusufi

Turkish shipbuilder Alia Yachts has launched a full custom 52.5-metre yacht known as the Sea Club 53. She is awaiting final outfitting and sea trials ahead of her delivery in August.

The superyacht has been described as a "beast" by the shipyard and was constructed in three separate parts comprising the hull, superstructure and the helideck. Design highlights include "cavernous" storage for tenders, toys and an inflatable waterpark.

The superyacht is named after its impressive swim platform

"The Sea Club 53 showcases the very best of our capabilities here at Alia Yachts," said shipyard president Gökhan Çelik. "We’re thrilled to see her in the water [and] demonstrating her full potential. She has been an ambitiously rapid build and thanks to an excellent relationship with the owner’s team at Technical Marine UK and quick thinking at our end, we have brought the project from dream to floating reality in a little over two years."

Dutch studio Azure Yacht Design has penned interiors and exteriors of the 499GT superyacht, with naval architecture by Diana Yacht Design. Accommodation is across a master cabin and two guest cabins, plus a dedicated relaxation area.

The three sections were joined in 2022

The Sea Club 53 can accommodate a 13-metre guest tender, an 8.2-metre crew tender, a submarine, two wave-runners, two sailing dinghies and two sailing catamarans in a covered tender bay on the main deck. A 50-square-metre storage area also houses 20 modular waterpark elements, allowing crew to create a complex new setup every day.

Meanwhile, there is an additional space for storing diving equipment, SeaBobs, surfboards and electric bicycles. Key numbers include a beam of 8.6 metres and a top speed of 15 knots.

The Sea Club is one of five projects underway at the Turkish shipyard.

This includes a 60-metre Vripack project, reuniting the same design team that worked on the award-winning Al Waab, as well as the 45-metre known as Project San, which recently completed her sea trials.
