Third Arcadia A80 yacht hits the water in Italy

Less than two weeks after the launch of the second unit, Italian yard Arcadia Yachts has launched the third unit in its A80 series. 

Highly customised, the 24-metre new build was commissioned for experienced owners and long-standing Arcadia customers and was developed through the yard's Arcadia Bespoke programme. As such, the yacht features several custom additions, including a "specially developed" Maine Blue colour which runs across the yacht's profile, her exterior decks and within multiple interior accents. The same blue is echoed by loose furniture in the cockpit and on the upper deck.

The galley was also a key requirement for the owner – a food critic and passionate chef – as an essential part of her onboard lifestyle. The space is fitted with multiple custom solutions, including handpicked appliances, a tailored layout and laminated glass cabinet doors in the same Maine Blue colour.

Though imagery remains private, in the main saloon, the generous living space is said to be characterised by a white parquet floor, fully leather-clad walls and loose furniture from leading Italian design brands. According to the yard, the leather selection involved extensive research, the lacquer work required complex manufacturing and the electric doors in the space are those "rarely seen in boats under 24 metres."

On the same deck, the master suite is equally as customised - fitted with a handpicked bed from a trusted artisan and furnishings from Italy’s finest designers. Even the carpets have been entirely custom-designed and artisanal made, hand-cut with special colours and patterns inspired by the movement of the sea. The space is decorated with original mirrors from the 1960s alongside the owner's personal collection of art and design pieces.

Guest accommodation on the lower deck features vertical lacquered panelling, wood inserts and bespoke furnishings, while Bardiglio Nuvolato marble spans the cladding, flooring and washbasin blocks carved from solid stone. The yard also highlighted the flag locker in the helm station and the dedicated chart table, both of which were chosen by the owners in a nod to a more traditional and mindful yachting experience. A statement from the yard noted: "They give the boat an eclectic and highly recognisable character ".

This A80 is the result of our ability to turn an extremely personal vision into a real-world project, featuring fine detailing but without losing the identity of the model and the shipyard”.

Model highlights of the A80 include the "largest upper deck in this category", up to five guest cabins and expansive glazed surfaces that open outwards. The model retains the distinctive features of Arcadia’s DNA, from the "latest-generation" solar panels to energy efficiency and fuel consumption solutions.

The shipyard celebrated the launch of the first unit late last year, with BOAT International stepping on board in March for a closer look at the series. According to BOATPro, Arcadia Yachts has three yachts currently under construction, including the fourth and fifth units from its A96 series, the former of which was launched in June.
