Austin Parker begins construction on Iconica 80 and Iconica 100 yachts

15 September 2026 • Written by Éilis Cronin

Italian shipyard Austin Parker Yachts has begun construction of its Iconica 80 and flagship Iconica 100 navetta yachts, marking a significant milestone in the builder's partnership with design firm Pininfarina.

The announcement comes as the design, development and engineering cycle has been finalised, resulting in the sale of the Iconica 80 hull ahead of the scheduled model and mould completion by the end of next month.

First unveiled at the 2024 Cannes Yachting Festival, the range joins the yard's existing AP models and Unica catamarans. Once completed, both yachts will be presented at the 2027 Cannes Yachting Festival.

Designed by Pininfarina in collaboration with Fulvio De Simoni, the models reflect a broader revolution in the shipyard's approach to contemporary yacht design. While both models share a coherent overall design identity, each was conceived as a distinct expression of the Iconica concept.

Characterised by comfort, elegance and innovation, the Iconica 100 will feature dual aft entrances with direct access to the beach club and guest area on the lower deck. A loft-style beach club will integrate with guest accommodation for continuous, direct access to the water.

On the main deck, the full-beam owner's cabin will sit at the bow, with a private panoramic terrace separated from the rest of the yacht, guaranteeing exclusivity and unparalleled views.

The Iconica 80 will feature an aft cockpit designed to blend in with the surrounding environment, offering a smooth transition between interior and exterior spaces. Flexibility is central to the flybridge design, which serves as a multifunctional space for relaxation and socialising.

Aft and forward areas will provide large sun decks, while the central zone will house a dining table, bar and helm station.

Interconnected areas will define the onboard experience, creating harmonious continuity between living environments. The main saloon will boast a vertical connection with the guest area on the lower deck, amplifying the sense of space. A fully equipped kitchen and bar counter will combine conviviality and functionality.

A refined lounge area will serve as a private entrance to the sleeping quarters, consisting of an owner’s cabin, two VIP cabins and an optional guest cabin - or it can be configured as a full-beam beach club amidships and adapted to the owner’s needs.

The Iconica range was developed following the yard's acquisition by Turkish businessman Baris Nalcaci in 2023, which Austin Parker CEO Giovanni Sebastiano Gravagno described as a "new era" for the brand.
