Italian boat builder Azimut Yachts has revealed interior images of its 26.2-metre Magellano 27M, the third launch from the Magellano series of popular explorer-oriented vessels.
Described as a vessel for "discerning seafarers" pursuing "absolute freedom", she combines stylish exteriors with generous volume for extended voyages. Azimut's specialised Dual Mode hull aims to ensure superior comfort across a wide range of sea conditions and speeds.
Finnish designer Jarkko Jämsen is credited with her elegant, timeless lines, described as a piece of "living site-specific artwork", crafted to exist within nature and the surrounding landscape. Her interiors were styled by Michele De Lucchi and Davide Angelio of Milan-based architecture firm AMDL Circle.
At the very heart of the vessel is a Mediterranean loggia overlooking the water, a deeply glazed, light-filled space characterised by wooden architectural elements inspired by pergolas and patios. The result is an environment "suspended between inside and out", where rooms form one fluid space connected to the sea. The Magellano signature wooden louvres at the stern complement this aesthetic.
The designers embraced a mono-material narrative, elevating wood through varied textures. The main deck salon and owner's suite feature light oak and walnut details, while tactile 3D wood surfaces lie alongside side tables hand-chiselled with a traditional Japanese technique.
Above the headboard, the wall is wrapped in fabric from Kyoto-based textile company Hosoo, hand-woven on 300-year-old looms. Statement lighting pieces by Italian studio Produzione Privata complement the space.
Outside, around 30 per cent of the yacht's exterior surfaces are crafted from carbon fibre to reduce weight and improve efficiency, fuel consumption and performance.
A vertical bow and double chine are two prominent features of her exterior facade, both of which increase waterline length and help her enter the water more smoothly. The double chine also reduces sea spray and acts as a natural shock absorber in rough sailing conditions.
The shipyard applied its Azimut Silent Technology for a calmer onboard environment, particularly during extended stays at sea. An optional Zero Emission Hotel Mode is available for guests who wish to spend significant time at anchor without running the generators.
Powered by twin MAN V12 1,650 hp engines, the Magellano 27M can comfortably cruise between 16 and 18 knots, while exceeding 24 knots when needed. The hull shape optimises fuel consumption at both higher displacement and higher cruising speeds.
According to BOATPro data, Azimut has 33 yachts currently under construction, with nine set to be delivered this year. This cohort includes the flybridge model Fly 82, which made its German debut at boot Düsseldorf in January 2026.
