Brazilian shipyard Inace Superyachts has announced the sale of the first unit from its new ISY 150 Explora model. The 45.7-metre expedition yacht was commissioned by an American owner and is scheduled for delivery in 2029.
The model was unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show in September, alongside the yard's brokerage partner IYC, which became the yard's global representative earlier this year. The first unit has been sold to Louisiana-based entrepreneur and businessman Bob Giles: "one of the most widely travelled expedition-yacht owners in the world" and the previous owner of two long-range Nordhavn builds, both named VivieRae in succession. For his latest yacht, Giles requested a range of over 5,000 nautical miles, an onboard dive centre and a dedicated fitness area.

A "deliberately masculine and decisive" profile defines the steel and aluminium explorer yacht, characterised as such with a sharp plumb bow, angular lines and a tall, taut superstructure, with a generous 499GT of volume spread across four decks.
In true explorer fashion, a key element of the design is an extended aft deck; however, as per Giles's request, this space has been developed specifically as a dedicated dive-support zone rather than a conventional beach club.
Here, there will be storage for technical diving equipment, from a high-pressure compressor to a hyperbaric recompression chamber and helium and oxygen storage cylinders. During longer passages, the deck accommodates a tender, and once deployed, the same space can be transformed into another relaxation area for guests, just steps away from a large al fresco sofa area.
Inside, the focus opted for living areas that make extended time at sea more comfortable, designed around "the yacht's capability rather than competing with it". As such, the palette is natural and warm, with tan leathers paired with soft brown and beige tones and hints of earthy green via patterned marbles.
The main saloon is characterised by a large, low-profile seating arrangement aft, while a formal dining table sits forward in front of a backlit display counter. The master cabin utilises a more contemporary theme, with richer shades of brown and a combination of textural pieces, complemented by a large en suite with a brown free-standing glass bath.
"The 150 Explora is a genuine meeting of design and engineering," said a spokesperson from Inace Superyachts. "The result is a yacht that looks exactly like what it is: a purpose-built expedition platform, and it shows what our yard can achieve with the right design partners."
According to the shipyard, it has four projects in build ranging from 32 to 47 metres, with deliveries expected from later this year through to 2028 and beyond. In July, the shipyard celebrated the delivery of the 46.7-metre conversion project Enejota, rumoured to be for Brazilian footballer Neymar.
