Italian yacht builder Baglietto has presented its first explorer yacht design, the 48 metre Explorer 10229, at an event during the recent Yachts Miami Beach show.
The new explorer yacht line, with design by Francesco Paszkowski, has been introduced to complement Baglietto’s ‘Fast’ and ‘Open’ superyacht lines. Construction of the first hull, 48m Explorer 10229, is expected to begin soon.
Baglietto said “the new 48m Explorer stands out for its excellent sea-keeping features, and is thus ideal for long-range cruises and when spending a long time at anchor”.
The sundeck boasts areas for sunbathing, lounging and dining. There is also a hot tub, which has been incorporated within the stairwell down to the bridge deck.
The expansive bridge deck aft on the Explorer 10229 has a large open area for storing large tenders and toys – a must have for any explorer yacht.
Having the open space on the bridge deck means that the majority of the interior living space is on the main deck, including a large saloon and dining area.
There is easy access for crew from the dining area to the connected galley and storage area, which has enough space to store provisions for long periods at sea.
Forward on the main deck is a full-beam master cabin that extends across the bow area, but the design of the interior has been left open, offering the owner a range of styles to choose from.
The transom features a beach club with a bar, a gym, a Turkish bath and a sauna.
Baglietto's existing range includes yachts from 35 to 65 metres in its 'Fast' planing line, 'Open' line, and displacement line. Earlier this year Baglietto launched the 54 metre displacement yacht, Project 10219.
This is the first explorer yacht from Baglietto, but there has been an industry wide surge in the demand for explorer yachts, as owners seek to visit remote destinations.
