Benetti has launched its second B.Now 50M with Oasis Deck and christened her Alunya. Formerly FB606, her launch comes less than two months after sistership Lady I hit the water in Livorno.
The 49.9-metre steel and aluminium yacht is the sixth unit in the B.Now series, but the second to be fitted with Benetti's trademarked Oasis deck. According to a statement from the yard, the experienced owner worked closely alongside Benetti's in-house design team on exacting his precise design and configuration requests for the interior spaces.
Part of this personalisation called for a five-cabin guest configuration on the lower deck, not including the main deck owner's suite finished with a study, ensuite and private terrace. In total, Alunya can accommodate up to 12 guests, with complement for a crew of ten in six cabins.
British design studio RWD was responsible for the yacht's exterior styling, having also conceived Benetti's signature Oasis Deck. In a marriage of the two designs, Alunya replaced the traditional stern of the B.Now series with two hydraulic winged terraces port and starboard that extend the width of the deck to create a 90-square-metre beach club. The outdoor living area offers 270-degree views from the stern of the vessel, with large sunpads and a glass-walled infinity pool to complete the space.
The yacht's naval architecture had been completed by Italian studio PierLuigi Ausonio, with ample space for tenders and toys concealed in the bow.
"The B.Now 50 model is certainly one of the most popular models in our history and the addition of the Oasis Deck made it possible to offer new options to all owners who enjoy close contact with the sea," said Benetti COO Sebastiano Fanizza.
The yacht's owner was introduced by TWW Yachts. “Benetti has proven once again to be a responsive and supportive partner to the owners and brokers,” added Michael White, principal partner at TWW Yachts. "This launch is the result of a pleasurable and outstanding collaboration between TWW Yachts and Benetti.”
Alunya is scheduled for delivery at the end of July 2023, in time for her debut summer season.
