Italian yacht builder Benetti has announced the US debut of the 15th yacht of its Vision series, Checkmate, during this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

The 43.6m motor yacht is powered by twin 1,300 HP Caterpillar engines, delivering a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising range of more than 3,500 nautical miles. Launched in 2012, the yacht formerly known as BV018 was christened Checkmate by its owner due to its streamlined exterior and striking black hull, designed by Stefano Righini.

The interior, by François Zuretti, accommodates 10 guests in a panoramic master suite on the main deck and four double cabins on the lower deck. The 'rich and sober' interior is appointed in a

combination of cherry and Burr Madrona woods enhanced by marble.
