Cantieri di Pisa and T. Mariotti announce partnership for "new generation" of superyachts

Italian yacht builder Cantieri di Pisa and T. Mariotti, an Italian shipyard specialising in luxury cruise vessels and offshore units, have announced a strategic partnership for a "new generation" of superyachts.

Unveiled during the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show, the builders shed light on the first product of their agreement: a 70-metre motor yacht known as Super Polaris 70. Designed and built in Italy, the model will be "powered" by T. Mariotti and outfitted with interiors by Pulina Exclusive Interiors, said to combine distinctive style and cutting-edge technologies with a focus on sustainability.

The Super Polaris 70 marks the "rebirth" of the pre-existing Polaris line, according to the yard, which has been reimagined to meet the needs of the latest owners. All yachts within the line that are greater than 50 metres in length will bear the "Cantieri di Pisa powered by T. Mariotti" brand and will be constructed at the Group's facilities. Chief designer Antonio Luxardo, alongside Cantieri di Pisa's Custom Division and Care & Refit Division, oversaw the range's redesign.

"With this agreement, we want to give new impetus to an iconic brand like Cantieri di Pisa," said Marco Massabò, CEO of Cantieri di Pisa. "This partnership is based on shared industrial principles and stems from genuine friendship and mutual respect, as well as common values: a similar ethical and family-oriented approach. It is a decisive step that brings together tradition and design with construction and engineering capabilities, allowing us to face future challenges together."

CEO of T. Mariotti, Marco Ghiglione, added: "This collaboration with Cantieri di Pisa is a natural fit for us: we are combining the best of two worlds. Pisa brings the style, tradition and strength of Italian design; T. Mariotti contributes its large-scale industrial and engineering capabilities. Together, we are opening up a new opportunity for the market. We are convinced that this synergy will deliver extraordinary results, and we are delighted to announce it here today in Monaco.”

According to BOATPro, Cantieri di Pisa currently has two yachts in build, with construction recently beginning on the yard's first 30-metre-plus yacht to be built since its acquisition in 2021.
