Codecasa Presents Aircraft Inspired Yacht Concept Codecasa Jet 2020

Italian yard Codecasa is to begin building an aircraft-inspired 70 metre superyacht concept named Codecasa Jet 2020.

Sporting numerous stylistic features “borrowed” from aviation, the Codecasa Jet 2020 has been hailed by the yard as “breaking the mould” of yacht design.

“The result is something that has never been seen before on the sea,” the yard said,

The design will include “clean and minimal lines” with “huge exterior and interior spaces”.

Key features include a spacious sundeck, which measures 20 metres in length, equipped with a swimming pool and covered gym. The sundeck extends aft where the yacht “develops vertically,” recalling the “tail of an aircraft”.

The sea level beach club meanwhile is serviced by a lift and connected to a hallway and skylounge with large glass windows.

The main deck bow area is dedicated to the owner’s suite while the eight guests are accommodated in four cabins on the lower deck. The crew quarters sit forward of the lower deck while the captain’s cabin meanwhile is adjoined to the pilothouse on the bridge deck. This deck is serviced by a second left connecting all three decks.

The Codecasa Jet 2020 will be equipped for adventure with a double tender area amidships and helipad aft.

Additional aviation inspiration is seen the inclusion of air inlets, which will recall a jet engine, and radar antennas installed inside carbon fibre domes in the “typical style of AWACS airplanes”.

Construction on the project will begin in the first half of 2020. When delivered, the yacht will become the flagship of the Italian yard.
