Columbus Yachts has revealed its 50 metre Sport superyacht K2 inside and out following the yacht’s launch earlier this year.
Now available for charter with Fraser, K2 is set to debut at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show in September.
Building on the success of Columbus’ Sport line, the 50m Sport model was styled inside and out by Florence-based designer Luca Dini, with naval architecture penned in collaboration with Hydro Tec.
K2 was commissioned by a repeat Columbus client as his third Palumbo project and features a steel hull, aluminium superstructure and “razor-sharp vertical bow”.
"The concept of this yacht mirrors the personality, style and approach to life of its owner,” said Dini. “Elegant, refined, attentive, demanding, but also sporty, a traveller and open-minded.”
Ahead of construction, the owner made a number of stipulations, including a transatlantic range and reduced draft for shallow cruising in the Bahamas.
The 499GT interior features accommodation for a total of 11 guests sleeping in five cabins, with 11 crew members in seven cabins. The main deck saloon has been designed to allow in as much natural light as possible, while the lowered gunwales will ensure great views out to sea, even when seated on the large sofas.
Luca Dini’s interior design is described as “bright, harmonious and coherent” with ample al fresco spaces. Bars and dining areas are found both inside and outside, with the upper deck featuring a large TV screen, bar and game table.
Wellness facilities are also plentiful with a swimming pool and Jacuzzi found forward of the upper deck and a fitness section and hammam below in the owner’s area on the main deck.
The toys and tenders on board include a jet ski, 3.31m Seadoo and 6.5m Castoldi Jet tender, which are launched and retrieved via a side opening in the hull.
