Dubois confirms spectacular 100 metre sailing superyacht

A chat with Ed Dubois during the Monaco Yacht Show today brings some exciting news as Dubois confirms that Design 380 – a spectacular 100 metre sloop – is now a live project.

This extraordinary yacht will be an explorer yacht for an existing client, and she will sport an astonishing single mast that will tower an incredible 125 metres above the water – some 35 metres higher than that of the iconic Mirabella V.

Renderings are currently unavailable as the design is undergoing some fine-tuning, but the lines follow a modern theme with a straight stem and very little sheer for the entire length of the hull. A large flybridge will rest atop a super sleek superstructure. The yacht will offer considerable stowage space for tenders and equipment, and the design employs a centreboard that gives a maximum draft of 12.8 metres.

Dubois says that the project will be under the management of Klaus Allebrodt and will feature an interior by Josep Juanpere Miret. Several yards are under consideration for the build.
