Dykstra Naval Architects has revealed designs for a new 26 metre world-cruising ketch sailing yacht project.
The bluewater cruiser has been commissioned by an experienced couple looking to "venture to the far corners of the planet". Designed by Dykstra Naval Architects, the sailing vessel will feature a main and mizzen mast with all sailing systems handled from the comfort and safety of the cockpit which sits between the two.
Inside, the interior is to provide "classic elegance” and comfort to the owners during extended cruises.
The project is being worked on in collaboration with interior design studio Rhoades Young Design and the owners' representative Peter Wilson from MCM (Marine Construction Management Newport). More details are expected to be revealed later this year.
Other ketch-rigged sailing yachts by Dykstra Naval Architects include the 56 metre Royal Huisman sailing yacht Aquarius, Baltic sailing yacht Hetairos and a newly-commissioned 65 metre performance superyacht codenamed Project 408.
