16 December 2020 • Written by Miranda Blazeby

Extra Yachts has announced the sale of the second 30 metre Extra X99 superyacht just days after announcing the sale of the first.

Sold to a first time Extra owner, the yacht will be built from a GRP hull and superstructure with carbon reinforcements. Delivery is due for 2022.

Exterior design and naval architecture comes courtesy of Guida Design in collaboration with Palumbo Superyachts while Luca Dini Design & Architecture will handle the interior.

Chief executive of Extra’s parent company Palumbo Superyachts, Giuseppe Palumbo, described the new model as “an evolution of the Extra X76 and Extra X86 models”, boasting a “combination of modernity, large volumes and comfort”.

Other features include a Jacuzzi, two jet skis, a Williams 395 tender, 7.1 metre beam and 41 square metre flybridge.

The second hull in the series will feature a different configuration to the first, with the main saloon featuring a dining table big enough to seat eight, as well as an L-shaped sofa.

Accommodation on board is for a total of eight guests in a full-beam master, two large double cabins and one VIP cabin.

Equipped with twin MTU 2600hp engines, the Extra X99 will have a top speed of 34 knots.
