Interiors of first Ferretti 940 yacht revealed

Italian yard Ferretti Yachts has offered a first look inside the Ferretti 940 following her world premiere at the Venice International Boat Show.

The Ferretti 940 was unveiled at the 2024 Cannes Yachting Festival, with the yard announcing that three hulls in the series had been sold soon after. With a length of 29 metres and a beam of 6.8 metres, the Ferretti 940 has been praised for her five-cabin layout (accommodating 10), versatile exterior areas and striking new addition of floor-to-ceiling glazing.

Exterior and interiors are by longstanding collaborators Filippo Salvetti and IdeaeITALIA, respectively, with new imagery revealing warm, contemporary living spaces befitting a "seagoing home".

A full-beam owner's suite on the main deck lays claim to the "widebody" hull concept of the model, with the first unit adorned with precious Silver Roots marble, including in the full-beam bathroom. The remaining three VIP cabins and one guest cabin (with sliding beds) are located on the lower deck.

A near 30-square-metre saloon – accessible through large sliding glass doors – is finished in IdeaeITALIA's "Classic" theme: curated for the yard as a combination of warm, earthy tones for an elegant and inviting onboard ambience.

The saloon layout includes an L-shaped sofa, sliding TV and central dining table for eight.  Notably, an additional sliding glass door provides direct access to the starboard side walkway.

At the centre of the Ferretti 940's design is the raised pilot house – characterised by a single-paned windscreen for a clean finish and increased visibility – and the generous flybridge, which has been optimised for al fresco dining. A large C-shaped sofa, dining table and sunpads at the outdoor area forward also offer another lounging space.

The versatility of the main deck continues in the spacious cockpit, furnished with freestanding furniture and a glass parapet (also found on the Ferretti 1000) which ensures continuity with the stern platform.

"She's just amazing. We've managed to design a very sleek, sporty yacht with incredible volume," shared the Group's previous chief commercial officer Stefano de Vivo at the unveiling of the model last year in Cannes. "Clients can choose between two interior styles – a more classic approach or something fresh and summery."

The first unit is powered by two 2,000hp MAN engines for a top speed of 25 knots and a cruising speed of 21 knots.

According to BOATPro, Ferretti Yachts has seven superyacht projects on order or under construction, the largest of which measures 30.1 metres.

Meanwhile, Ferretti Group and its brands (Ferretti Yachts, Pershing, Itama, Riva, CRN, Custom Line and Wally) have an impressive 55 builds in the order book.
