The first speakers have been announced for next year’s Superyacht Gathering in New Zealand.
Set to take place from March 25-27 2020 in Auckland, the annual superyacht event will include talks by yacht designer Ron Holland and naval architects Gregory C Marshall and Gillian Carter.
Holland will discuss his award-winning career, his recent travels on board Rosehearty through the North West passage and look at his upcoming projects.
Marshall meanwhile will look at the impact of technology on superyacht design and discuss his future ambitions for designing intelligent superyachts.
Carter will look back on the projects that have shaped her career, including the 110m Jubilee. Looking ahead, Carter will discuss her predictions for the future of the industry.
This preliminary speakers line-up is set to grow in the coming weeks, as event organisers announce further speakers.
Managing director of the Superyacht Gathering Linda Berry said: “The line-up for The Superyacht Gathering 2019 was a hard act to follow, but we are confident that 2020 will more than meet the challenge.
“Ron, Greg and Gillian need little introduction and have each played a huge role in some of the most innovative and forward-thinking designs to come out of the superyacht industry."
The three-day annual superyacht event will follow the same programme as this year, with a bumper programme of social events, a day long symposium, an America’s Cup breakfast and long lunch.
