Front Street Shipyard begins refit on superyacht Magic

Front Street Shipyard in Belfast, Maine, has begun an extensive refit on the 39.6m (130′) Northern Marine superyacht Magic.

Her owners have commissioned Magic's original design team, Setzer Yacht Architects, for the redesign. Major design changes planned for Magic include reconfiguring the flybridge deck layout to incorporate additional seating, a forward five-person spa tub, outdoor cinema, re-designed arch, mast, and hardtop structures and adding a day head. Setzer has also redesigned Magic's bow deck with a new seating area that can shift purposes to accommodate either dining or lounging in the sun. Another change is aft, where a hydraulically powered, custom-made stainless steel beach club transformer will be fitted on the transom. This will extend the swim platform and serve as a sports deck, dive platform and jet ski dock.

This is the ninth refit project of a yacht 24m LOA and larger to be awarded to Front Street Shipyards in the past two years. Magic is one the first superyacht to be hauled utilising Front Street's new 485-ton hoist and to enjoy the US East Coast yard's newly expanded facilities.
