Introducing Explore 70 – a multifunction superyacht concept

NEWCRUISE Yacht Projects & Design’s new Explore 70 concept – first seen in BI – has been developed with two exciting variants, each offering multifunctional capabilities tailored to the owner’s requirements.

The first concept, Fusion, offers two aft deck versions for those who are looking for comfort and high-end lifestyle in an explorer-styled package. It includes an organically shaped multilevel pool or a specially developed transom slipway for a sportsfisher up to 15m.

For the interior styling, NEWCRUISE has proposed a theme that it describes as a balance of cold and warm water. ‘Warm, smooth materials such as cashmere, fine wool and fur are combined with crisp colour tones which convey a fresh summer breeze,’ the team explains.

In contrast to Fusion, Travel The World suits those who want to head off the beaten track. This multipurpose version was developed by the team based on their collective naval architecture backgrounds and uses a multifunctional aft deck storage system housing a standard-size 40-foot container. This means that a variety of modules, from a pool to a touch-and-go helipad, can be created, and dropped into place depending on the requirements of the yacht – whether it is used for holidays, cruising or true exploration.

Travel The World also has a provisional interior concept. ‘Each room shows typical recurring cultural elements of colour and material interpretations, as well as defined decorations. From room to room the guest dives into different worlds and experiences, meaning his voyage is not only on the seas, but in the living spaces on board as well,’ says the team.

Explore 70’s exterior design draws inspiration, says NEWCRUISE, from the aesthetic beauty of whales. Moreover, the forward superstructure design serves not just a stylistic purpose, but is meant to absorb the impact of green water through an especially strong, engineered structure.

At between 60m and 70m, the Explore 70 is a perfect size for exploring superyacht destinations and still allowing for access to shallow cruising grounds and anchorages.
