Italian shipyard ISA Yachts has announced the sale of an 80-metre edition of its newly configured Gran Turismo line named Project Future. The client is familiar with ISA and the wider Palumbo brand, having owned the 66-metre Okto for many years and servicing her at Palumbo Superyacht's refit facility, and has now turned to ISA to build a larger project.
Team for Design’s Enrico Gobbi has developed the exterior lines of Project Future and will also be responsible for the interiors. Naval architecture has been completed in-house by Palumbo and the project marks the largest undertaking for the shipyard to date.
The yacht has a six-cabin layout with an optional seventh cabin on the lower deck. There is a VIP with a private lounge located on the main deck and an owner's cabin on the upper deck forward that comes complete with two bathrooms and an office. ISA has described the owner's cabin as a "glasshouse" with floor-to-ceiling windows that can be fully opened.
Onboard highlights include an infinity pool on the main deck forward which is "connected" to the owner's cabin via a "lit-up path". There is a gym on the starboard side of the upper deck, alongside a wheelhouse and the captains' cabin. ISA has said that this area has been deliberately set back in order to keep the yacht's exterior as sporty as possible.
Crew quarters are located on the lower deck and comprise ten cabins that can accommodate up to 18 crew members.
Giuseppe Palumbo, CEO of Palumbo Superyachts, said: “A long-standing acquaintance and mutual respect that we have been nurturing for years. Indeed, the owner has always relied on Palumbo Superyachts for the maintenance of his superyacht. This allowed us to create a project tailored to his needs by formulating a new model with high-performance lines that winks at the near future. I would like to thank the entire work team, in particular, Francesco Fico as owner's representative; [and] Carlo and Enrico of Team For Design for their highly professional commitment and dedication to this project, which has allowed us to significantly shorten development times."
Project Future is expected to be delivered in 2027. Across the Palumbo Group portfolio of brands, which includes ISA, Columbus and EXTRA Yachts, there are at least 10 projects under construction, according to BOATPro. The news comes just two months after the shipyard presented its 70m Gran Turismo to the market.
