Approximately 15 boats have been damaged or destroyed following a dramatic fire at Las Vegas Boat Harbor Marina in Lake Mead. The incident occurred at 12.30am on Sunday 9 June. Witnesses reported being woken up to the sound of explosions.
No superyachts were in the area at the time according to BOATPro, with all the affected vessels measuring below 24 metres.

Damages reported were the dock, ten sunken boats, several damaged boats, and one firefighter with minor injuries.

Multiple fire crews responded to the call, including the Boulder City Fire Department (BCFD), Boulder City Police Department (BCPD), National Park Service, Henderson Fire Department and Clark County Fire Department. The blaze was deemed under control and contained by about 3.00am and entirely extinguished by 3.30am.
The owners of the affected boats have been notified of damages by the marina staff. Officials have confirmed that vessel damage is extensive but "was limited by everyone’s quick action".
The marina remains open to the public but officials have issued a partial area closure as the investigation into the cause of the blaze remains ongoing.
Only two minor injuries have been reported so far. BOAT International will update the story as it develops.
