Dutch design studio Vripack has teamed up with Brazilian shipyard MCP Yachts on a 36.8 metre all-aluminium custom yacht project named MCP 121.
The project represents Vripack’s third collaboration with the builder and the second collaboration with the owners themselves, who were looking to “step up” from their previous 22.8m yacht.
The ability to anchor in small bays was crucial to the design, as well as maximising on board space for socialising and entertaining.
As a result, al fresco dining areas big enough to host large groups of guests are found on every deck. Exterior design details include grain teak decking and loose furniture while the interior features materials such as rich wood for a “super homely environment”. Elsewhere, slatted oak wall panels create a “contemporary, Scandinavian twist”.
The owner’s suite is found on the main deck alongside the main saloon, formal dining area and large galley. The beach club and gym meanwhile are found below on the lower deck while a seven-metre tender is stored on the foredeck. The yacht also features an observational top deck described as a “modern crow’s nest”.
