27m Moonen Nashira undergoes refit at FDC Yachts

9 August 2022• Written by Brooke Murphy

The 27 metre Moonen motor yacht Nashira has checked in at FDC Yachts for an extensive year-long refit. She first arrived at the construction and refit yard in Turkey in October 2021 and work is well underway.

Nashira was built in steel and aluminium by Dutch shipyard Moonen and was delivered in 2006 as a Moonen 84 model. She has cruised under a number of different names, most recently Prana, and was sold to new owners in November 2021.

FDC Yachts has extended the swim platform by one metre and the sundeck by 1.5 metres, offering extra lounging room across both decks. Elsewhere, the hull has a fresh coat of light grey paint and the main engines have been overhauled.

The interior is a central focus of the refit and will see her cherry wood veneers and rainbow upholstery replaced with darker woods and a more sophisticated, neutral palette of colour. While her interior configuration will remain largely the same - with an open-plan main saloon, master suite, VIP suite and two doubles - she will benefit from the addition of a new bar.

Work is due for completion late 2022.
