New superyacht Stella di Mare to premiere at Cannes Yacht Show

Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche announces the presentation at the this month's boat show in Cannes of the new 28.95m Darwin class explorer yacht, Stella di Mare.

Built in steel and aluminium, the Cantiere dell Marche explorer yacht Stella di Mare was launched in March of this year. She is designed by Sergio Cutolo of Hydro Tec, while her contemporary interior is by Pierluigi Floris and Marco Veglia.

This Darwin Class 96 maintains the Darwin family feeling, but it differs from previous yachts in the same line. Each cabin is 10sqm bigger and the VIP stateroom is 1,50 sqm larger – with almost the same volume as the owner’s suite – and the main deck is considerably extended.

The owner and his family will cruise the Mediterranean Sea, covering the most secluded spots, and will then cross the Atlantic Ocean and extend the navigation through US East Coast and the Caribbean.

Stella di Mare is powered by twin 720kW MTU engines, giving a top speed of 13.5 knots. Particular attention has been paid to insulation and noise control, at the owner’s specific request: CdM has developed a custom noise damping system which will reduce noise dramatically.
