Overmarine has sold the second model in its Mangusta GranSport 45 fast displacement range.
The 45-metre model, known as Project Amalfi, has been sold to a repeat Mangusta owner described as an “experienced yachtsman” by the yard. Delivery is scheduled for 2020.
“He has chosen this brand once more for its values and performances and because he knows that this yacht too will meet his needs to the fullest," the yard said.
The yard revealed that the yacht will be predominately used for Mediterranean cruising, as well as undertaking long-range passages to remote destinations.
Speaking about the sale, Mangusta commercial director Francesco Frediani said: “Many of our owners have kept choosing us over the years, growing alongside us and, more recently, showing great appreciation for our new lines too.”
Designed by Alberto Mancini, the Mangusta GranSport 45 features a “timeless” exterior and “simple layout”, allowing the owner to choose from a range of different configurations.
There is a specific focus on external relaxation areas. The sun deck has two large sunpads and a seven-person Jacuzzi tub, the water of which creates a waterfall at the bow.
The GranSport will have a top speed of 26 knots and range of 3,500 miles at 11 knots. The 2.2 metre draft meanwhile will allow the owner to cruise in shallow waters and enter remote anchorages.
It comes after the first hull in the series was sold in October last year.
