Italian yacht builder Palumbo Superyachts has begun building a new Extra 86 motor yacht by ISA Yachts.
Designed by Francesco Guida, the 26-metre yacht is being built on spec and will be available for delivery in early 2020. It will then be presented at the Monaco Yacht Show.
The news comes after the builder announced it had sold a 24 metre Extra 76 to a European owner.
The Extra 86 will accommodate a total of eight guests in four cabins; two single, one VIP at the bow and one full beam owner’s cabin – all with ensuite bathrooms. The crew quarters meanwhile can accommodate a staff of three.
Inside, the living area sits aft of the galley which is equipped with a dumb waiter servicing al fresco dining. The full beam living room meanwhile will sit forward, with large sofas and an extendable table.
The living room’s “seamless windows” create “the magical sensation of being inside a large crystal dome”, the yard said. A second wheelhouse sits on the fly deck, which also features a full beam sundeck and a bar.
The model is also available in a “fast version”, which can reach a top speed of over 30 knots thanks to three Volvo Penta 735kw engines.
