Pastrovich Studio unveils 60-190m "yacht family" designed for the future of luxury charter

Monegasque design firm Pastrovich Studio, founded by architect and yacht designer Stefano Pastrovich, has unveiled a new "family" of yachts between 60 and 190 metres, known as X-Shinobi.

The concept – comprising four yachts of 60, 70, 80 and 190 metres – has been designed to look towards the future of luxury superyacht charter, by reinterpreting the "wedding cake" profile and rethinking the conventional onboard layout, all while maintaining coherence and scalability. According to the studio, the fleet of yachts seeks novelty by "control of detail, clarity of line and coherence of proportion", achieved through a contemporary profile and a continuous dialogue between painted surfaces, extensive glazing and architectural details.

The yacht's floor-to-ceiling glazing is designed to create continuity between the inside and out

"The name Shinobi introduces a different idea of elegance into the project," a statement from the studio read. "Not an exhibited elegance, but a silent presence shaped by control, discipline and precision. In this yacht, character does not come from excess, but from the measured tension of its lines, the balance of its proportions and the ability to express strength without ostentation."

Inside, the layouts on board X-Shinobi show all guest cabins on the main deck. This move ensures more light, further views and greater spatial quality (in addition to the possibility of a private balcony) for seamless indoor-outdoor living. Meanwhile, the technical/operational areas (including crew accommodation, the engine room, tender garage, spa and other service spaces) are situated on the lower deck to guarantee a more guest-oriented experience. The tender garage is capable of storing one 10- to 12-metre tender, one six-metre tender and two jet skis.

The final element of X-Shinobi's design is its charter-oriented nature, which has been developed from a "precise reading" of the market's evolution. According to the studio, the future of charter requires platforms capable of operating effectively, desirably and profitably.

As such, the X-Shinobi family offers versatile configurations with two master cabins and four guest cabins, or one master, two VIP and three guest cabins, alongside common spaces designed to offer greater privacy, varied use and a "more balanced" guest experience - the latter of which the studio says to be a true democracy of hospitality on board.

"With X-Shinobi, we did not want to deny an iconic typology such as the wedding cake yacht," explained Pastrovich. "We wanted to demonstrate that it can still evolve, become more rigorous, more contemporary and better suited to the way the sea will be experienced tomorrow. For me, the point is not simply to design a beautiful yacht, but to create a platform capable of combining elegance, nautical credibility, quality of life on board and a real charter attitude."

Power for the yachts will be from a diesel-electric system with azimuthing propulsion. The volume, range, cruising and top speeds differ for each length, though the 80-metre design offers 2,300GT, a 17-knot top speed, a 15.8-knot cruising speed and a range of 5,700 nautical miles.
