Once again Perini Navi proves it's one of the most active yards on the current scene as the Italian yard announces the official launch of their 50th yacht tomorrow (July 17th) in Viareggio, the sailing yacht Melek.

Built in aluminium, this new superyacht is the ninth hull of the 56m series started in 2003 with Burrasca. Melek, designed by Perini Navi in collaboration with Ron Holland, will be ketch-rigged with aluminium masts supporting 1500m² of sail. The in-house designers were also responsible for the interior styling.

Melek is due for delivery in September 2010.
