German shipyard Lürssen has announced that its 102.4-metre superyacht Nixie, previously known as Project Jassj, has been delivered.
The mammoth new build was launched earlier this year in February from the shipyard's facilities in Rendsburg, marking the first time she had been seen since her technical launch into the Kiel Canal in December 2023. Following her launch in May, she was sighted by yacht spotters in the Kiel Canal, Germany, heading out to the Baltic Sea to begin sea trials.
According to BOATPro, she is already embarking on her maiden voyage with her first stop in Gibraltar. Nixie will now be available for charter with Edmiston from €2,400,000 per week. She will make her global debut at the Monaco Yacht Show this September.
The full-displacement, steel and aluminium motor yacht features a "fluid and organic" bespoke warm grey profile from the drawing boards of British design studio RWD – also responsible for her interiors. Nixie's exterior sculpted lines are characterised by deep contours and broad convex forms, which the yard describes as giving the superstructure a "sense of dissolving into itself". The glazing has also been equally considered, with each pane shaped and gradient-tinted to blur into the steel.
“From the beginning, the ambition was clear – every detail, inside and out, intentional – and that became the foundation for everything that followed,” said Douglas Hynd of RWD. “We are incredibly proud of this exceptional yacht.”
One of Nixie's signature elements is a semi-suspended, six-metre-wide glass swimming pool on her main deck aft, which extends over the swim platform to create a seamless connection with the sea. The pool also features a privacy screen and has been engineered with adjustable water levels, allowing access for all ages.
Below the pool, on the lower deck, is a beach club and fitness area, complete with a gym and cryochamber. Here, four large sea terraces and the opening transom hatch lie flush with the yacht's Indian teak deck, to create 270 square metres of versatile living space directly over the water. According to the shipyard, Nixie's beach club is one of the largest to feature on a Lürssen yacht to date.
Her charter management, Edmiston, shared that wellbeing is core to Nixie's design; her sundeck is dedicated to wellness with a private spa complete with a beauty salon, massage room, steam room and sauna, while aft, there is a more social setting with a jacuzzi, sunbeds and lounge spaces.
Entertainment and social spaces can be found across each deck, including indoor and outdoor cinemas, a bridge deck firepit lounge and a dedicated teppanyaki dining experience on the owner's deck. Forward, a commercial helideck doubles as a recreational court. Nixie is also set to offers a programme of watersports and exploration, equipped with a selection of tenders and water toys.
Accommodation is for 12 guests (plus additional guests if desired) across 10 cabins and a crew of 37. According to Edmiston, Nixie features a large owner's suite, which occupies the forward section of the private owner's deck, complete with a dedicated study, two dressing rooms and his-and-hers en suites with twin bathtubs and steam showers.
Her interiors, while remaining undisclosed for now, are said to combine expansive social spaces with a "highly private owner's experience" for both long-range cruising and grand-scale entertaining, decorated in delicate stonework and rich woods throughout. The furnishings and fixtures on board include bespoke artisanal pieces sourced from around the world by RWD.
Lürssen's project manager, Tanja Peters, added: “It has been a great experience collaborating with RWD. The project demanded a high level of coordination across design, engineering and procurement, and the team approached each challenge with clarity, creativity and a strong focus on finding workable solutions.”
Nixie is fitted with a diesel-electric propulsion system, supported by an advanced energy storage system, for efficient cruising across a wide range of conditions. Her architecture is said to ensure high levels of onboard comfort through reduced noise and vibration.

Edmiston's chief executive, Jamie Edmiston, concluded: “Nixie represents a new generation of charter yacht, where wellbeing, comfort and connection to the sea are considered at every level of the design. With her scale, design pedigree and extraordinary wellness offering, she is set to become one of the standout charter yachts of her generation.”
The update comes at a busy time for the German shipyard, with exclusive BOATPro data showing a total of seven yachts measuring over 100 metres currently under development at Lürssen. The shipyard recently celebrated the technical launch of the 101.4-metre Project Ziggy and the delivery of the 114.2-metre Nausicaä.
