Dutch yard Heesen has announced that its 57-metre full-custom superyacht known as Project Setteesettanta has departed its facilities in Oss and arrived via transport in the northern Netherlands, where she will begin sea trials imminently. The update comes following her launch at the end of July.
The 920GT all-aluminium yacht (also known as YN 20857) was commissioned by "experienced yacht connoisseurs" and returning Heesen clients who sought a yacht for spending time at sea with family and friends.
Project Setteesettanta marks the second Heesen yacht commissioned by her owners, who returned with a clear brief for their next build. As such, the 57-metre features a shallow draught of 2.3 metres for easy access to shallow anchorages, paired with generous exterior decks and extensive onboard comfort.
The yacht's exterior is owed to Frank Laupman and the team at Omega Architects, while Cristiano Gatto Design is responsible for the interiors. Project Setteesettanta marks the 12th collaboration between Cristiano Gatto and the Dutch shipyard, with the designer additionally entrusted as the owners' representative throughout construction.
"To see this project finally afloat is deeply moving," said Gatto at the yacht's launch last month. "Every element of her interior was conceived from scratch and refined down to the finest detail, with nothing left to chance. She has truly been a labour of love. Drawings and renderings can guide the design process, but nothing compares to the moment when a project becomes reality."
A key feature on board Project Setteesettanta (which translates to "seven and 70" in Italian) is its four-metre infinity pool found on the main deck aft. A set of steps on either side of the pool lead guests down to the swimming platform, which features a hydraulic transformer platform for easy access to the water. Tenders and toys are stowed in the forward garage behind gull-wing doors, with additional storage for toys tucked behind the lazarette.
Project Setteesettanta marks the first yacht in the Heesen fleet to have the bridge on the fourth deck, granting the owners an observation deck above the accommodation. The yard noted that this doesn't affect her silhouette, however, which features a "light [and] unobtrusive" mast by Frank Laupman and flat Starlink panels in place of traditional domes.
The custom yacht features a six-cabin layout, including a generous upper deck owner’s apartment complete with 180-degree views and private access to the nearly 200-square-metre foredeck, which can also function as a touch-and-go helipad. A VIP cabin is found on the main deck, alongside a fully equipped gym. There are a further four guest cabins – two twin and two double configurations – on the lower deck. There is further accommodation for up to 13 crew members.
The four decks are connected by an elegant oval staircase that runs back-to-back with the crew staircase for improved space optimisation. On the main deck, the dining area, which is located near the stern, blends with the aft terrace via wide sliding doors.
The yacht's interior joinery, which has been carefully matched with the marble hand-selected by the owners in Verona, was crafted in-house at the Heesen interior facility in Winterswijk.
There are nine yachts currently under construction at Heesen ranging from 49 to 72 metres in length. In recent news, the Dutch yard delivered its 55-metre Steel superyacht Pa’lante.
