Design Unlimited has teamed up with Reichel/Pugh Yacht Design to design a 42 metre blue water cruiser sailing yacht concept named RP42.
Reichel/Pugh Yacht Design is responsible for the naval architecture and exterior design while Design Unlimited has penned the interior.
The yacht has been specifically designed to balance long-range capabilities with family friendly cruising.
Key features include a panoramic roof over the saloon and cockpit, which is fitted with glass solar panels while a single level flow leads from the cockpit to the interior and saloon lounge.
Spacious and relaxed living is found throughout. An al fresco dining area is found in the cockpit, which is sheltered by a fixed bimini and sliding sunroof. An indoor dining area meanwhile can be found inside the saloon.
Accommodation is for a total of eight guests in three equally sized suites and a large master cabin with its own entrance at the stern. The master suite can be customised to face forward or aft while the guest suites can be either twins or doubles.
Design Unlimited has penned two interior design themes. The first centres around a neutral colour palette emphasising the yacht’s plentiful natural light.
The second theme incorporates the use of dark wood panelling and cabinetry with light upholstery combined with deep pile carpets and ambient lighting.
Elsewhere, the yacht features sun pads aft of the dual helm positions and a large swim platform aft.
