Turkish yard Sarp Yachts has added the 26 metre XSR 85 Plus model to its XSR series.

The yard used the occasion of the Cannes Yachting Festival to reveal the new model. The first two hulls are already under construction and due for completion in early 2020.

It comes after the yard announced in November that it had reached a milestone in the construction of the first hull in the 25.7 metre XSR 85.

Designed by Red Yacht Design with naval architecture by Van Oossanen Naval Architects, the XSR 85 Plus hull and superstructure will be built from composite with reinforced carbon fibre.

The first two hulls of the new model have already begun construction

The main design focus has been on providing ample exterior areas, resulting in 135 square metres of open space. Attention has also been paid to integrating interior and exterior spaces, resulting in an open deck feeling.

The sun deck area is a key area for al fresco entertaining, with a generous Jacuzzi located aft, surrounded by large sunbeds and flanked by a dining area large enough to seat 12 guests.

Accommodation is for a maximum of 10 guests in five guest cabins comprising the main deck owner suit, complete with a private terrace and balcony, and four lower deck guest suits; two doubles and two twins.

Accommodation is for a total of 10 guests on board

The crew quarters, which is large enough to sleep four staff, sits aft of the lower deck. A sculptural staircase meanwhile serves all decks.

Power will come from twin MAN i6-800 800HP engines for a top speed of 20 knots and range of 1000 nautical miles at 12 knots.
