Italian builder Azimut Yachts has launched the second 38 metre Grande Trideck superyacht.

The second hull in the series, which hit the water on June 16, will cruise the Mediterranean when delivered, specifically Italy, Greece and Turkey. It comes after the yard delivered the first unit of the series at the Monaco Grand Prix in May.

Designed by Alberto Mancini, the Grande Trideck features interiors by Achille Salvagni and naval architecture penned by Pierluigi Ausonio in collaboration with the Benetti Research and Development Department.

Described as the “first triple-decker” model built by Azimut, the Grande Trideck features an extra aft deck, which create the effect of “cascading terraces’ from the sundeck to the sea, the builder said.

The sub-300GT interior features “a revolutionary layout” for a “less formal lifestyle”. Various configurations are available to sleep a maximum of six guest cabins in a main deck full-beam owner’s suite, four guest suites on the lower deck and a sixth VIP on the upper deck. A full-height beach area meanwhile sits aft.

Power comes from either a pair of MTU 2400hp or 2600hp engines. The first unit is fitted with 2600hp engines for a top speed of 24 knots and a range of 700 nautical miles at 19 knots.
