Turkish yard Sirena Superyachts has announced the sale of its 42-metre superyacht and future flagship, which is scheduled for launch in "weeks".
The sale was completed in-house by Sirena Marine and is said to mark a significant commercial achievement for the company and a milestone for the yard's "largest and most ambitious project to date." The yacht is scheduled to make her debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.
Described as a "waterborne dream home", Luca Vallebona was selected to create the exterior and layout for the Sirena 42M, while Italian studio Hot Lab is the mind behind the yacht's interior spaces. Naval architecture has been developed by Van Oossanen Naval Architects with engineering by Eureka Yachts.
"The sale of the Sirena Superyachts 42M before her world premiere is more than a commercial success; it is confirmation that our approach to building modern, highly capable superyachts resonates with experienced owners," said Sirena Marine's chief commercial officer, Ali Onger.
He continued: "Completing this sale directly is also a significant achievement for our commercial team and reflects the strength of the relationships we build with our clients. We are incredibly proud of what our team has achieved, and we believe the 42M is just the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Sirena Superyachts. We now look forward to presenting our flagship to the international yachting community at the Monaco Yacht Show, where she will make her highly anticipated world debut."
On board, accommodation is across four lower-deck guest cabins, with two VIP cabins featuring transverse beds. While the layout is customisable, the arrangement features an owner's cabin at the bow – a solution designed to provide direct access to a concealed forward patio with lounge chairs and a swing.
"Often, reference is made to large windows as a method to enhance the relationship between the interior and exterior," explained designer Luca Vallebona at the project's first unveiling in 2022. "In the case of Sirena, I wanted to take this concept a step further, ensuring not only expansive views of the landscape but also the possibility of physically stepping outside of the usually enclosed interior."
Interiors are Nordic-meets-Mediterranean, incorporating curves, large fillets and plenty of plants for a relaxed, organic feel. Chosen materials range from natural beech and oak to cotton and chenille for the sofas. This results in a light and desaturated colour range which, according to Hot Lab, emphasises natural light.
"The effect we wanted to achieve is certainly that of a studied environment rich in detail, but at the same time one that did not become mannerist at all costs," added partner and head of design at Hot Lab, Enrico Lumini. "The lines are essential, almost obvious, yet in their continuous chromatic and material contrast, they find strength and richness."
Exterior renderings reveal an al fresco dining area on the sundeck and casual sofa seating on the main deck – both providing uninhibited views off the stern. The aft deck houses a large pool with sun loungers, complementary fold-out bulwarks and twin steps leading to a large swim platform. The design also caters to the younger generation's greater affinity for water sports with generous onboard storage for tenders and toys.
According to BOATPro, Sirena Yachts currently has five yachts in build, including two Sirena 88 units and the first Sirena 118.
