Lürssen has launched its first superyacht project this year with the first appearance of 66m Ester III at its Rendsburg, Germany, yard.

Previously known as Project Green, the steel-and-aluminium motor yacht has now been christened as Ester III. Lürssen's hull 13685, the superyacht is due for delivery this summer. Ester III is designed by Espen Øino with interior styling by Reymond Langton. She comes in at 1,350 GRT and is Lloyd's classed. Ester III owner's previous yachts are said to be a 50m Codecasa and a 35m Falcon, making this a step up for the owner.

Ester III features large windows – including huge vertical windows forward on the main deck, which create a defining exterior feature – and an eye-catching white and grey paint job. A large helipad is set above the wheelhouse.

Projects on the horizon for Lürssen this year include the 94m Kismet II (ex project Global), also designed by Øino, and the 102.6m Quantum Blue by Tim Heywood.

The 85m Lürssen superyacht Solandge was launched in June 2013. Read the full feature on Superyacht Solandge – Lürssen's 85m designed for pure enjoyment. Lürssen has announced that Solandge will be on show at the Monaco Yacht Show this September.
