Superyacht project Azzam set to be launched by Lürssen

Project Azzam left her building shed in May 2012 to be transferred to the large floating drydock of Lürssen where she was fitted out. This week, the German yard has started to dismantle the roof of the shed. The launch is imminent!

As a reminder, Azzam will become the largest superyacht of the world with a length overall of 180 metres. In June 2012, we exclusively revealed that Azzam comes from the the boards of Italian design house Nauta Yacht Design. Nauta’s Mario Pedol told us: ‘We are pleased to inform you that the 180 metre motor yacht recently revealed at Lürssen Shipyard is our exterior design, from the waterline to the top of the mast.’
