Van der Valk shares more details on 25.5m Modern Flybridge yacht

Dutch builder Van der Valk has shared a construction update on its Modern Flybridge yacht model, with the first hull on track for delivery in time for the summer season.

This comes after the interiors were revealed for the first time in July 2020.

The "contemporary" styled interior also features two different types of pillars available for the lounge – black and high-gloss stainless steel. The main deck features space for a party of "up to 20 people" alongside a bar, galley and dining table for eight guests. Elsewhere, the main saloon hosts an L-shaped sofa and seating around a coffee table.

The 25.5 metre Modern Flybridge is designed in collaboration with Cor D Rover and “offers a fresh take on this very successful series,” according to the yard.

Van der Valk said the emphasis of the all-aluminium model is on ease of operation and single-handed cruising.

Key features inside the "spacious" and customisable interior include floor to ceiling windows for far reaching ocean views. The foredeck offers sunbathing for up to six while the aft deck hosts sun loungers. The yacht also features an impressive equipment roster, including a 1.5 metre passarelle and a large platform housing tenders of up to four metres.

Accommodation on board is for a total of eight guests across four cabins; an owner suite, VIP and two twins. There is also the option to instate a crew cabin for a maximum of two staff.

Powered by triple Volvo Penta IPS1050 engines, the yacht will have a cruising speed of 21 knots and a top speed of 26 knots. Humphree zero-speed fin stabilisers round off the yacht's propulsion system.

The first hull in the series is set to be delivered before summer 2022.
