Video: Inside the 92m Feadship superyacht Aquarius

Dutch yard Feadship has released a revealing on board video that shows off the interior of the 92 metre superyacht Aquarius for the first time.

Developed in collaboration with Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects and Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design and launched in 2016, Aquarius benefits from a contemporary profile and light-filled interiors, as the footage below shows. The short clip gives an idea of life on board, with the crew launching the 10.2 metre tender and serving cocktails by the Jacuzzi.

The conventional bow and raked superstructure shape of Aquarius’ exterior hints at her Feadship DNA. She's also one of the quietest superyachts built by Feadship, as Ronno Schouten, design manager at De Voogt Naval Architects, told Boat International back in 2016, "It is important to design the structure so that it will be stiff enough to avoid any vibrations. In this case this was even more difficult as the owner required wide lounges without any pillars, giving us the challenge of large unsupported deck areas.”

Inside, there are a number of features that flood Aquarius with light, such as her vast use of glass in the superstructure and an energy conscious but complex LED lighting system. “We had been in regular contact for several years before the owner concluded that, in order to create the truly fantastic yacht he envisaged, he simply had to commission an entirely bespoke Feadship,” said Feadship CEO Henk de Vries.

Her interior, which will display fine art from her owner’s collection, is the product of a close collaboration with her owner’s design team and is said to reflect the owner’s experience in luxury accommodation.

“We dedicated two years of intense design work on Aquarius,” said her owner. “As a result, she represents a perfect marriage of interior and exterior, and seamless integration with the sea. I am convinced that Aquarius will become a future benchmark for global superyacht excellence.”

Aquarius will accommodate up to 14 guests in seven suites. The owner’s suite sits on the owner’s deck and has separate his and hers bathrooms as well as a private balcony. The other 12 guests are housed in six rooms.

Fitted with twin 3,000hp MTU engines, Aquarius has a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.
