International design studio Beyondesign has presented a 72 metre motor yacht concept named The Young.
Created with the younger generation of yacht owners in mind, The Young features an aggressive profile that is both compact and "deceivingly voluminous", according to Ashish Gupta, founder of Beyondesign.
One of the most notable features is its aft deck. The lower level, known as the beach deck, is home to a lap pool and a grand waterfall spilling over from a secondary pool on the main deck above. By day, the space serves as a wellness centre by the water with fold-out terraces and where guests arrive by tender; by night the 220-square-metre space doubles as a disco and entertainment space with a bar accessed through a hidden door behind the waterfall.
A shaded al fresco dining spot on the main deck above can be enclosed should inclement weather roll, or alternatively, guests can move to the main saloon where double-height ceilings create a sense of immense space with floor-to-ceiling windows. A DJ and bar set up can be found on this level, which is rightfully named the entertainment deck, along with four VIP suites.
The owners' apartment, overlooking the helipad on the foredeck, benefits from its own private lounge and terrace as well as two teenager suites and a folding balcony.
The tender garage is placed on the lower deck amidships with room for a 7.3 metre limo tender. Crowning the design is a sun deck with an open-air Jacuzzi.
